Open trench for a medium-voltage cable line

Services

Medium- and low-voltage networks — from trench to acceptance

We build, reconstruct and underground 6–30 kV MV and 0.4 kV LV power networks, install transformer substations and cable cabinets, carry out horizontal directional drilling and build grid-connection infrastructure for renewables. With our own equipment and our own crews, across Ukraine.

Areas

Ten areas, one point of responsibility

Each service can be delivered on its own or combined into a complete package — for example, undergrounding a line with HDD under roads, new cable cabinets and dismantling of the old overhead line.

MV and LV cable lines

Construction, reconstruction and repair of 6–30 kV MV and 0.4 kV LV cable lines: trenches, HDD, cable laying, joints, cabinets, testing and acceptance.

Learn more

Overhead line undergrounding

Replacing MV and LV overhead lines with cable: building the cable line, HDD, cable cabinets, switching and dismantling the old line together with its poles.

MV overhead lines 6–30 kV

6–30 kV MV and LV overhead lines: building and replacing poles, reconstruction, ties to cable lines, dismantling of lines and pole-mounted substations.

Learn more

MV/LV substations

Construction of MV/LV transformer substations and cable cabinets, replacement of pole-mounted substations, MV and LV cable connections and acceptance tests.

Learn more

Horizontal directional drilling

HDD and pipe ramming under roads, railways and watercourses — protective ducts for MV, LV and fibre cables. Our own Tracto GRUNDODRILL rig.

Learn more

Fibre-optic ducts

Cable duct construction for fibre: HDPE ducts and microducts, cable chambers, HDD under roads and railways. Linear works across Ukraine.

Learn more

Utility conflict relocation

Relocating MV and LV networks that obstruct roads, railways and new developments: new routes, undergrounding, HDD, outages with DSOs and acceptance.

Learn more

Equipment supply

Procurement for MV and LV networks: АПвЕгП (APvEgP) and АПвП (APvP) cables, joints, cable cabinets, KTP substations and ducts — per design and DSO rules.

Learn more

Solar farms

Electrical infrastructure for solar plants: internal MV cable network, transformer substations, MV cabinet and the line to the DSO grid. Solar grid connection contractor.

Learn more

Wind farms

Electrical infrastructure for wind plants: MV cable network between turbines, MV cabinets and switchgear, lines to the plant substation and the DSO grid.

How we work

Main contractor, consortium leader or subcontractor

Power network projects come in different shapes. A distribution system operator (DSO, oblenergo) tenders the construction and dismantling of networks in several settlements, a main contractor looks for a company to take on the entire cable scope, and a solar plant investor needs someone to build the MV line to the point of connection. That is why we do not impose a single form of cooperation.

As main contractor or consortium leader we are responsible for everything: site organisation, approvals, schedule, coordination of partners and acceptance documentation — for example, when the scope covers new transformer substations, MV and LV cable lines and dismantling of an old overhead line.

As a subcontractor we take on a defined scope — a complete cable line, HDD only, fitting of accessories or dismantling. We know the requirements of the PUE (Ukrainian Electrical Installation Rules), the DBN (state building codes) and DSO technical requirements, so the main contractor receives work that is ready for acceptance, not a list of defects.

  • Own equipment: HDD rig, CAT excavators, Tesmec puller, Volvo with loader crane
  • Site management and as-built documentation on our side
  • Flexible scope — from a single bore to a turnkey package

Who we work for

Typical forms of cooperation

Below are the typical arrangements we work under. We always adapt the details to the project and the client's terms.

Cooperation step by step

From enquiry to network acceptance

Whether we are the main contractor or a subcontractor for a single scope, the work follows the same pattern.

  1. 01

    Enquiry and analysis

We receive the design, bill of quantities or a description of the task. We check the method, obstacles along the route and the client's requirements, and for larger jobs we propose a site visit.

  2. 02

    Offer and schedule

We prepare an offer with the scope, schedule and terms. We state which works we perform with our own equipment and which with partners.

  3. 03

    Site preparation

Notifying landowners and land managers, traffic management, setting out the route, outage dates with the operator and material supplies.

  4. 04

    Execution

Earthworks and HDD, cable laying, fitting of accessories, substations and cabinets, switching and dismantling — by our own crews, supervised by our site manager.

  5. 05

    Testing and acceptance

Measurements and tests, as-built survey and a complete set of acceptance documents. More in the article From design to acceptance.

Questions

Questions about our scope of services

What voltages do you work with?

We specialise in 6–30 kV medium-voltage networks (in Ukrainian distribution networks mainly 6 and 10 kV) and 0.4 kV low-voltage networks.

Can you do just part of a job, for example HDD only?

Yes. We have our own horizontal directional drilling rig, so we can carry out only the crossings under roads, railways or watercourses for another contractor. Likewise, we take on, for example, cable laying only, installing joints and terminations, or dismantling an old network.

Do you build networks directly for operators?

Yes. We can work directly for distribution system operators — on our own or in a consortium, according to the tender requirements. More on the For network operators page.

How do I request a quote?

Best via the request for quote form, attaching the design, bill of quantities or at least a description of the route. On that basis we will prepare an offer with a schedule or propose a site visit.

Looking for an MV or LV network contractor?

Send us the design or a description of the scope — we will reply with a quote and a proposed schedule.
